As Memorial Day weekend kicks off the unofficial start to summer, I thought it was time I finally share one of my favorite cocktail recipes. SUMMER TIME = SANGRIA TIME, am I right, or am I right?! I wouldn’t necessarily consider myself to be a sangria expert but I am super picky when it comes to finding one that I love. I’ve tried numerous recipes and most of them I’m usually never crazy about. I picked out certain ingredients from each recipe that I did like and landed on this final concoction that makes up my favorite sangria.
I prefer red wine sangria as opposed to white wine….which is funny to me because I’m such a white wine person as opposed to red wine. This recipe is super easy and I feel like you can add a little extra or a little less of something based on your taste buds to find the perfect balance that’s right for you. I must say (and I may be biased) but I think this recipe is the perfect mix of all the ingredients.
- 1 orange cut into slices
- 1 lime cut into slices
- 1 green apple cut into chunks
- 1/4 cup brandy
- 1 bottle red wine ( I use Pinot Noir)
- 4 cups Diet 7-Up, you can use regular 7-Up but I prefer the diet
- 1/2 cup orange juice (I hate pulp so I opt for pulp-less)
- Mix everything together in a larger pitcher
- Chill until cold
Are you a red or white sangria lover?!
