With the blink of an eye, the weekend has managed to come and go once again. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Mine was fun and filled with friends, tacos, and themed cocktails. I consumed a few tasty margaritas for Cinco De Mayo and on Saturday I did the same but with Mint Juleps out of respect to the Kentucky Derby. So, naturally, my Sunday was spent being lazy and sans booze. During my lazy Sunday, I decided to take the time to clean up my computer and stumbled upon my engagement pictures.
It kind of blows my mind how fast time goes because these pictures are now 3.5 years old. It doesn’t feel like it’s been that long but at the same time it does. SO much has changed and happened to us in those 3.5 years that when I look at these pictures I feel like they could have occurred a whole lifetime ago. It was definitely fun taking a stroll down memory lane going through all of these photos.
These engagement pictures are a snapshot of San Francisco’s summer at its finest. And by finest I mean, foggy, windy, and extremely cold! If we look like we’re cold… it’s because we were, haha! I knew it was going to be a crap shoot and that we’d either have amazing weather or it’d be cold and foggy. Spoiler alert, the weather wasn’t amazing!
There was no hair product that was going to save my perfectly curled hair from falling straight as soon as it was touched by the wet fog. That balloon that I had such grand plans for?…total nightmare in the wind. I lost half my tassel string somewhere on the beach. Oh yes, these pictures are surrounded by the Pacific Ocean. Couldn’t you tell?! It’s okay, neither could I thanks to the fog. Oh, San Francisco! Nevertheless, these pictures will always hold a special place in my heart!
After going through these pictures I kind of want to cut my bangs back. I think they are so cute in these pictures! What do you guys think? Bangs or no bangs?
I’m not sure if it’s the coffee, the food, or picturesque views that Seattle has to offer, but it certainly made the perfect backdrop for our one year wedding anniversary photos.
I had been dreaming up what these photos were going to look like when I first booked our session with Katie. I envisioned a rainy day, red patent leather Hunter Boots, and that magical glistening that comes from a clear umbrella. Replace the rainy day with sunshine, the red patent leather Hunter Boots with red pants, add one blanket scarf, and nix the clear umbrella altogether and you have our anniversary shoot.
Ryan and I even ended up in semi-matching outfits but didn’t realize it until after we got the pictures back. It was pretty funny because we actually do this all the time and never realize it until someone points it out. We love how these pictures turned out and had such a great time shooting with Katie.
You can see most of the pictures over at Style Me Pretty but if you keep scrolling down you can see some of my favorite images from our session.
I hope you enjoyed our anniversary photos as much as we do! I’m excited to start working on posts that feature our wedding photos to finally share with all of you in the upcoming weeks.
Merry Christmas from my family to yours!
Every year I am always so excited to create our Christmas cards to send to our family and friends. I love flipping back through all our pictures from the year to find the perfect picture for our card. It seems that every year I always find myself using Minted because I love the huge selection of designs that they have along with how you can add custom elements to each design. Did I mention you can add an electronic address book that allows you to print all the recipients addresses on the envelopes and it’s FREE?! Say hello to less holiday card hand cramps!
