Does anyone currently have a mint julep in hand for this Kentucky Derby day?! I don’t….yet! I’m still recovering from my one too many margaritas that I may or may not have consumed last night! These images are a few of my favorites from some seriously cute Kentucky Derby parties. In fact, they make me want to throw a last minute party RIGHT NOW, but I’ll have to wait to break out all my searsucker until next year!
In case you are throwing a last minute derby party then let these images serve as inspiration. Here are a few tips that every derby party should have….
1. Mint Juleps–these are an absolute must! If you’re in need of a good recipe you can find my favorite one here.
2. Roses–red roses are the traditional flower of the Kentucky Derby, but I always opt for white or different shades of pink.
3. A searsucker something–a dress, ribbon, bowtie….this is your chance to break out all things searsucker!
4. Mint–you definitely need mint for your mint juleps but it can also serve as cute foliage for a flower arrangement.
5. A fun hat or headband–go ahead, channel your inner Blair Waldorf.
Cheers to the weekend!
Happy Cinco de Mayo, Friends! I hope you all have plans to consume copious amounts of guacamole, margaritas, and of course, tacos this weekend! I know I sure as heck do! If you’re throwing a last minute shindig and need a little last minute Cinco de Mayo inspiration then look no more. These images are sure to have you swooning and running to your nearest party store!
If you’re still searching for the perfect margarita recipe make sure out check out my favorite one here!
I’m giddy with excitement to share these pictures with all you lovelies! Between the colors, the flowers, and the dishware, I’m so IN LOVE with how this Easter Tablescape turned out. If you asked me to pick my favorite piece from this table I don’t think I could pick just one. All the different elements really pull this Easter table together and make it so swoon worthy. I seriously can’t stop swooning over it! Out of all the holidays, I’d have to say that Easter is my least favorite, but I do enjoy a springy pastel tablescape, brunch, and all the Easter egg shaped candy. Cadbury Eggs, anyone?!
Besides designing tablescapes, I LOVE arranging flowers…I find it to be therapeutic. I love seeing what I can create with the different flowers and vases that I’ve picked out for each arrangement. If I didn’t have such bad allergies I would seriously consider doing it as a little side job.
I hope you all enjoy reading this post as much as much as I enjoyed creating it because I’m seriously obsessed with how it turned out. I wish I was able to link everything for you all to shop but the dishes are HomeGoods finds and the glasses are vintage finds. I did my best to round up similar items for you to shop below.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and enjoy some flowers and pastel colors of your own. Maybe a little Easter Candy too!
Happy Monday, My Lovelies!! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, I know I sure did! It was a busy weekend filled with family and friends along with copious amounts of champagne and chocolate. Literally, I took treat yo’ self to a whole new level. With my Valentine’s Day Bar Cart being fully stocked with champagne it was rather hard to not indulge.
I loveeee decorating my bar cart for holidays, it’s just so festive and fun. I may leave this little display up for the rest of the month since I only decked it out a few days ago thanks to February just flying by. The Target dollar spot is the absolute best for decorating something like the bar cart because you don’t have to spend a ton of money to make it cute and festive. That Charles Ninot champagne is one of my favorites. My mother-in-law taste tested so many different bottles to find the perfect one for our wedding rehearsal dinner. The bottle with the pink bow is one of the left over bottles from that dinner!
One of my favorite touches on the bar cart are the crystal decanters. Don’t they just make the overall look feel fancier?!? I think it does!
Do you remember my Valentine’s Day post from last year? The one where I talked about these pink glasses I had been swooning over? If you have no idea what I’m talking about make sure and stop by this post. WELL….I FINALLY got my glasses!! It took five years, but I finally got them. However, I didn’t buy them from the cranky man who insisted on the $40 price per glass. Thanks to this Glitter Guide Post, I found them!! Seriously, I was over the moon excited because they were the exact glasses I had been wanting! So thanks, Glitter Guide!!

All the glitz and glamour paired with a fresh start makes New Year’s one of the best holidays. Not to mention it’s the perfect holiday for copious amounts of confetti, and of course, bubbly! I love staying in for New Year’s but just because I like to stay in doesn’t mean I’m at all boring. I enjoy celebrating with family and friends from the comfort of my own home. Which just so happens to make for the perfect opportunity to decorate for a party with a theme.
Wishing you all a very Happy New Year!!
